Wow its been a while

Tue May 19, 2009, 8:49 PM
First of all, wow I haven't written any journal for almost a year. The year has been quite tough on me posting art-wise, some shots from my Nippon trip last year, and one from my school assignments. So where to start...BIG NEWS. I'm going to Europe today(Poland to be precise, one week in Switzerland),WOAH right, haven't been there for a while but man am I excited. For the next two months Ill be doing some serious shooting, inspiration-wise and also because my life career-wise depends on it.Going off on a tangent but I'm using -wise to many times, whoops. Leading on, I have finished my first year of Creative Photography at Humber College in Toronto and I recently got my marks back...PASSED. So once I get everything settled financially ill be off to my final second year, which is nerve-wracking but also great. I so-called purchased my Nikon D300:D, and also a Lowepro backpack so traveling-wise (DARN,DID IT AGAIN) I'm set.

So that is about everything important that's happened during the last year, hopefully I'll write a note when I'm in Poland or Switzerland and also Ill be trying to get some stuff uploaded onto here during that time, I'm also thinking of a new boarder for my phots...well see.

Anyways,Sayonara,and Do Widzenia:D

hey how you doing with getting on a photography course? have just started University of Lancaster Wildlife Photography Degree though don't really know how i got accepted! everyone else seems to have good cameras and know what they are doing; i've only ever had a really simple basic camera and my nature interest sparked from my first digital and the ability to do sharp macro images. i feel out of my depth at uni at the moment with too much to learn of the technical side compared to everyone else! science side and learning about habitats and ecosystems and conservation will be very interesting too though!

Hey Sorry about the long period of time between your comment and my reply, i haven't been really on deviantart that much due to the work and stuff im doing in class. My creative photography class at humber college is going pretty well. Unlike yours, mine is basically for the first year its an overall course on commercial, portraiture, etc. photography, thus it being a college its more preparing you for the workplace rather than teaching theory more. But so far this month has been a great experience for me, big topic for this month is the different lighting conditions, ratios, what light goes best with what, when to use reflective light in a more professional manner, etc. In my course we were all made to lease Macbooks and camera that were specifically set for the course, and they are really good cameras, too. Yah my main inspiration in photography was the architectural aspect, focusing on lines, composition, and light. Good to hear that that your course is creating interests for you, mine is doing the same.

All is fair in love and war... and frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.

That's awesome, congrats on getting in! (sorry it took me a little while to get back to you)
I've been pretty good, moved down to Niagara and I start Graphic Design down here in September, so I'm pretty stoked for that. And then I'm going for Animation! So hopefully everything goes over well! I really need to update my gallery on here, though haha. I've been slacking hardcore. I took a look at yours, and you've definitely got some awesome shots!! Keep up the good work!
